There are certain people who still think that if you write one perfect ad, with the perfect conversion copy and the perfect call to action that everything is going to magically fall into place. You click that publishing or create ad button and ‘voila!’, you can sit back and watch the millions start rolling in.
If that is your expectation of ads, then you are not doing business the right way. There is no way that you can just pop out one ad and expect everything to fall into place. That is why we have our business sales funnels. That’s why we have different kinds of ads. That’s why we have different target audiences, different target markets, segments, demographics and locations. If you are running ads, you need to think old-school romance; you are wooing your target audience/target market. Ads are not like walking into a bar, catching someone’s eye and suddenly the rest is history. You need to stop placing false expectations on your ads. You are making life very hard for yourself, your business and your marketing team. You need to manage your expectations. It’s a dating situation when you are wooing a potential client – it’s definitely not love at first sight.
